colour inspiration

this photo by David Tatnall really strikes me, i love all the colours. So, this weekend i'm aiming to choose 5 colours from this pic and get paint sample pots of those colours and paint some old furniture - think i'll have to scour Salvos to find an old outdoor table or bench :) I'll post the result when done!

A little bit of progress.....

last night i went to Bunnings and took ages picking out paint colours... so after a little artistic licence i came up with the following 5 colours that spoke to me and got 250ml sample pots of each. Then this morning i woke up and my first thought was - i bought interior paint not exterior, so the original idea of outdoor furniture will change... :) stay tunned!

after a lovely morning at the beach celebrating my nephew Leo's 2nd birthday i came home and made this pear :) took less than an hour thou it still needs a bit of a tweek...

i have a few things i want to make over the weekend, feeling a bit inspired :) also i just joined the waiting list for a woodworking course - things to make and don't have the skills yet!!!!

Trying to set up my blog!

Hello horsey - my new friend :)
i'm going to cover my plain horsey in old texts, i'll post a pic when done. I went to a old second hand bookshop in newtown and got some old encyclopedias, 80-100 years old. Not too sure yet what horsey will become, maybe put into someones christmas stocking with bells around his neck.. he'll evolve i'm sure :)
